Outrageous! thats all I can say about the prices for new and used XC90's.
|
Not at all - laws of supply and demand. With a 12 month wait for delivery of a new vehicle, Volvo can name their price. Latest "executive" trim level is getting on for 50 grand!!! Delivery wait also means that second-hand prices are holding up extremely well.
I'd love to buy one, but there's no way I can afford to.

Very ugly looking thing. I can think of much better ways to spend that sort of money.

Look at it this way: A MINI cabrio is £2,500 more than the MINI it's based on. Futures on them are already being sold at £2k. By summer you might have to pay a £4k premium just for the privilege of being one of the first to show off your Riviera tan in the must-have fashion accessory car of the season. But that isn't entirely stupid because though you will lose a chunk of the premium on resale next Spring, you probably won't lose any more than people who go out and pay retail money for ordinary mass market cars.

"Latest "executive" trim level is getting on for 50 grand!!! "
Is that with or without "full" leather seating?
|
Don't know about the leather, think that some degree of leather trim is included - I would hope so at that price!
Aprilia - if I had 30 grand to spend on a car I would consider the XC90 seriously. I like something practical and safe, and do not really care about looks. If I only had £30,000 to spend on everything rather than £30,000 to spend on a car, agreed I could think of many better ways of spending it. (but I can dream, can't I?)

Well, you do get 'special leather' on the front seats only.
The rear seats have the 'standard leather'!
