A failed attempt to promote a warranty insurer\'s URL free of charge in The Backroom has been deleted. Apologies to Backroomers who were taken in by this. The poster asked fellow Backroomers if something would be covered by the warranty. When it was pointed out that a good warranty website would tell a visitor what was covered, the poster then stated that this warranty insurer already did. This says to me that his only point was to draw attention to the warranty insurer\'s site, which is not allowed.

I did wonder!! especially after his second post.
Now that there is a growth industry in out-scamming the Nigerian scammers. It occured to me that a few hundred earnest enquiries, that all produced no custom, might turn the tables.
Not that HJ could possibly condone such activities!!

Hi Honest John
I was the person who posted this message. It was a genuine enquiry and I would be happy to discuss the matter with you.
My name is Peter O\'Shea and I have nothing to do with the company which runs the warranty company.
I am happy to give you a contact telephone number if you wish to discuss.
Looking at what they cover in their policy means nothing to someone like me with a basic understanding of car mechanics. A £10.000 investment in a car is a huge amount for me and I need to know whether this waranty will protect my investment.

If I got this wrong, pos, I\'m sorry. But I\'m the one who draws the line because it\'s my site, and my decision stands.
