Anyone claimed on a warranty direct policy (I know the economics of insurance - i.e total premiums > total claims)
From a read of their small print the seem to offer a honest policy - i.e others seem to cover more components, but then exclude any breakdown due to wear & tear - if there is no wear then a component will never fail.
Anyone got any experience of claiming with them?

See item in Saturday's Telegraph column. Of course there are wear and tear exclusions on parts expected to wear, such as clutch plates, tyres, brake pads, brake discs, etc. But WD does not reject claims on mechanical parts for wear and tear, otherwise there would be no point in the warranty.

Just seen the article, which agreed with my thoughts exactly.
Only WD seem to cover "wear & tear" - as you no if there is no wear there would be no point in the warranty
