Hi all.
I came across a link to a movie about Jeremy Clarkson & co trying there best to kill a toyota. I'd never seen it before, and was completely amazed. Thought I would post the (hopefully non clickable) link.

Got to say that its definately NOT modem friendly. File is just over 50 meg.

(BTW, I have no connection at all with the site this came from)
(Thanks WTV. Since this is one of the best things Top Gear ever did I tried to make link clickable ands tried to make it work, but it won't. Please try reposting the link. HJ)
{I've now corrected the link, so it should work. DD}

This was featured in Top Gear over a few shows.

I guessed that, but its been put together as one (reasonable cohesive) piece

The top of the range Hilux has now been renamed the Invicible in honour of this achievement!
|
|
The new Hilux just released in Oz is less utilitarian. It however has better engines, bigger and a more comfortable interior.
|
The new HiLux is called the Vigo. It was launched in Thailand where it is built in August 2004. Now they're everywhere. 163bhp 3.0 common rail four. Useful lift-up back seat in the double-cab and comfortable semi-reclining back seats instead of the usual bolt upright. Click on Car-by-Car breakdown. Then select Toyota from the dropdown. Then select HiLux Vigo from the next dropdown. Also check out the Fortuner. Links to Thai sites (in English) for more information. And see this month's '4x4 and MPV driver' which tests an independently imported HiLux Vigo against the Isuzu D-Max Rodeo.

I deliberately 'broke' it as per site policy about these links. The mistake you made in reapairing it was adding the www.
I'll say again though, modem users beware! its a 50 meg file. (IMHO, worth it, but its your phone bill...)

BTW, As good as the pickup is, I'm even more impressed with the mechanic who keeps getting it going

woops! try this.

sorry.

(Note that on a Mac this downloads a 56 megabyte file.)

I actually missed the original airing of that. Just watched it now though - absolutely amazing. Almost makes you want one...
....almost.

This must have been one of the best adverts for Toyota they ever had. I know someone that went out and bought a Toyota pickup on the strength of what they did to it on Top Gear.
