In a few years time, when cheaply-made electronic fingerprint recognition devices are fitted to all cars, some bright spark in marketing is going to spot the demand for an extra-cost gadget to be offered as part of the expensive "security pack". Keys.
Or the lock-and-key might even be bundled in an even-more-expensive "robustness pack" with steel wheels to replace the fragile and high-maintenance alloy ones.

Similar vein - I've got a biometric fingerprint reader to logon to my computer.
Let's just say a forceful armlock and a right handed chop to the neck can make me very compliant when it comes to putting my finger on it.
Little sisters can be so pushy!
