Brand new MGTF 115 for £11K - Blue {P}
Fairly brief this one, is a brand new MGTF 115 for £11K good value compared with what they were selling for before the company folded?

I seem to remember that even after they folded the local dealers were selling one year old models for this price, but I have no idea what a new one would have cost.

The price is on the road including 2 year warranty.

Is it good value, bad value, or just about average?

The 1.6 is quite a sweet motor in the MGTF. And, as mentioned before, a future spares supply is more likely for MGTFs than for any other model in the MG/Rover range apart from the City Rover for which all parts apart from Rover badges are still being made and can be obtained from European Tata dealers.

Interesting, after all the hamering they took for the City Rover, wouldn't it be ironic if this car turned out to be the lowest depreciating car in percentage terms in the Rover Group?

Whilst appreciating that "surveys" have to be read with caution, MGTF was in last but one place (123 0f 124) in the JD Power Customer Satisfaction Index this year. Not sure what main critisms were.

Hope you won't need a new front bumper for it, see the problem in another thread.

So, not a bad buy then?

I'm sorely tempted with one of these, just mulling over the figures. :-)
