Tax on LPG Up 36% - Honestjohn
This may have become hidden in the Budget thread (thanks to those who provided the link).

But seems that while most fuel duty goes up by 1.25p a litre from September, the duty on LPG goes up by 3.21p per kg from 9p to 12.21p per kg, an increase of 35.66%. Just like the last time LPG became a little bit too popular.

So much for green politics.

Best comment I've seen so far on the budget, which kept me entertained through Surrey and into Sussex this afternoon.

£220 for a road fund licence!! How cheap can you get?

Perhaps the Chancellor has some sense of guilt about all these speed bumps and silly swollen pavements and things.

like everything in life it becomes popular it gets noticed it gets taxed.i havent unbricked my windows yet from the last tax hike ;)
