Vauxhall Zafira A (1999 - 2005) - 1.8 petrol alternator

1.8 petrol alternator - picknmix
Am having to replace this on a 1.8 petrol. Does anyone know if it comes out easier from the top or the inner wheel arch.

zafira alternator - elekie&a/c doctor
I would think that as the zafira is based on an Astra,then out the top is the answer.When removing the alternator from the engine, unbolt the bottom bracket from engine block & leave attached to alternator.hth
