does anybodyknow anything about these cars as i,m considering buying one
now i know that these cars have common rail engines (or as some would say common fail) but does anybody know if its a kia engine in or another manufactured engine also does anybody know of any common faults with these cars
if its a citroen hdi engine then thats not to bad because i am currently driving a piccasso with 247000 miles on the clock so i know the problems you may encounter waiting with interest in you,re comments

Road test of the current Carens diesel auto and manual at www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=247
Also a road test of the previous model.

The Kia CR diesel engine is a Hyundai unit.
I'm not sure if Hyundai designed the engine themselves or hired someone else to do the job for them.
Haven't heard anything bad about them, and the larger Hyundai diesels are known to last the course well. Usual caveats with CR diesels about giving them a good thrashing every so often and NEVER putting petrol anywhere near them doubtless apply.

According to Saturday's Telegraph Motoring, the Carens is a model that is being superceded by the C'eed. This gives you two choices, either buy a Carens at a keen price or consider the new C'eed as it is better all round.
My wife runs a Rio and is very pleased and I expect if you buy a Kia you will as well.

The Carens had just gone on sale it's not being replaced; Cee'd is the replacement for the Cerato.
