Mazda 323 (1998 - 2003) - 2002 2.0 Hatchback: can't change rear bulb

2002 2.0 Hatchback: can't change rear bulb - Galad
I need to change a stop light on my Mazda 323 hatchback but I can't get into the rear light cluster. The instructions in the handbook are vague to say the least. Any suggestions please?
