I am writing to you to request the removal of all messages and threads
to the use or recommended purchase of counterfeit Autodata CDs. You will
be aware that the support or promotion on your site of using counterfeit
material is both offensive to our business and is also unethical in
today's business.
Autodata are actively prosecuting those who sell or market the Autodata
CD for illicit gains and you should be aware that the copies that are
being sold or recommended by your forum members are out of data cracked
copies which invoke our trademark and copyright under the 1988 Copyright
Designs and Patents Act. They also contain out of date information which
if used for the service and repair of consumer's vehicles can cause
disrepair.
I would request that you monitor your forum more closely to ensure that a
companies IP rights are not permitted to be infringed in respect of the
above as well as those genuine customers who also find this activity
offensive.
Therefore I look forward to receiving your confirmation that these
threads and messages have been removed.
