Hi,

Was just reading HJ's review of the new Avensis and I notice there are no prices listed for a hatch version - anyone know if it has a hatch or is it just like the Accord now with just a saloon and an estate version?

Ah, no hatch. Oh well,

The current Avensis sticks out in car parks so I wonder how this longer version is going to fair?

No, no hatch.

It actually felt like a smaller car than a Mondeo to drive.

Vid test now finally up and running after a spot of router trouble. (Cured by new router.)

Indeed a 5 door veersion is no longer offered, apparantly it only really sold in the UK market, and I suppose the expense of designing and producing a car for one small market area isn't all that profitable.

I should have written that Toyota expects about 60% of sales to be the station wagon, so no need for a hatch as well.

UK built Avensis hatch? Yes, I would have given that serious consideration when looking to replace my aging Mazda6 in a year or so.

What a shame.
