HJ's Week's Best Deal - pricing query - Neilly
Been looking at the prices in the deal listing of 7th May and am unable to find any of the prices quoted matching the websites listed.

One example £12603 becomes £13578
another
£14840 becomes £15844

Seems bit dishonest if you ask me. But perhaps someone can answer it for me.

Maybe there is something added to the websites prices fro some reason?

Seems odd that they are out by £1000 on some models.

TIA

Neil.

I'm always bemused by companies that can't support special offer prices - do they seriously think that, once hooked, a customer is going to cheerfully pay another £1000?

The date is the date the list was updated. But not wholly updated

Often the cars have extras like metallic paint, extra lights, rear parking sensors, etc. so the 'list price' is for the cars with those bits and pieces. They are usually cancelled orders, available from stock, and that is the reason for the favourable price.

Sometimes the websites don't update me with prices. Drivethedeal is pretty good about this. Some of tghe others aren't.

If Neilly tells me which other prices are wrong I'll delete them.

Thanks for the reply.

Would be good if the deals were able to provide some info as to the exact car. Your explanation helped and I guess they could have been cancelled prders.

I note the Jetta deals are now removed from your link.

I'm giving up on contract hire through lack of deals. Buying one doesn't seem that easy either!

A pal of mine recently bought a brand new 09reg 1.4 Jetta from Motorpoint for £11000.
