Volkswagen Touran MPV (2003 - ) - Steel wheels - cracks, a common fault ?

Steel wheels - cracks, a common fault ? - stonybrook
After thinking the tyre had a slow puncture I found that a radial crack about an 1inch long
on the rim was the fault. I would be interested to hear of any VW owners having asimilar problem
