Going on from the thread on the person who brought a dodgy Alfa Romeo, what is the law regarding a 'motor trader'?
Im thinking of selling a couple of cars a month from home, around the £3000 - £6000 mark, they would be around 5-7 years old and ex lease cars.
By law, what is my legal obligation to the buyer in regards to warranty?

Basically you have to guarantee the cars against any defect that could have been present or developing at time of sale for 6 months. The buyer does not have to prove this. To get off, you have to prove that the defect was not developing at time of sale.
