I just had as report of Malware using Safari, so used Safari and found no problem. But, of course, the reason is that Sarah turned all the ads off to try to find where the malware was coming from.

Morning! I use Google Chrome to browse the BR as it doesn't seem to work properly in IE. When I first logged on, a warning page popped up telling me that there was a security risk to do with malware.
Anyway, I've used the magic button - just thought I'd warm Chrome users. Though if they're reading this they've probably already seen the warning...

This got picked up by my iMac and I also tried on XP and anti-virus also picked it up. Details were emailed to all concerned including HJ. So those that need to know are aware of this potential problem and are already checking things out and have removed the potential risk - ads have been temporarily turned off.
I will lock this thread as it's being dealt with and should no longer be a potential issue.

Obviously because the site is now working normally without the ads, the threat came from one of the ads. If anyone gets a malware message using any browser now then please let us know.

Thanks for reporting it in the various ways that you did - it is being fixed, it was a non-HJ site related issue/problem !
