Neighbour's son went to start a 9 mth old Citroen C4 Picasso of his late dad. Failed to start - battery was connected to the charred remains of cables. The car was exceptionally low miles due to illness.
Are cars becoming too reliant on electronic gizmos and therefore prone to problems or is it the gremlins of the Citroen of old?

Its not only the Japanese companies, Ford recently recalled many Mk2 focussssus for a fire hazard.

As a staunch luddite, the moral that I have decided to draw from this story is that one should always choose wind-up windows in preference to electric ones.

obviously the safest thing to do before the new switch is fitted is not to sleep in your cars
......
werent these switches all changed in another country about 2 years ago?
