They can be cleaned by washing in soapy (not detergent) water. I just rinse mine out and replace it when needed.

You could always wash your car clean before letting your chammy near it.

Throw it in the bin and use MF cloths instead, they dry better, softer,washable and more forgiving on soft paintwork.
