Golf MK4 GTI 1.8 turbo - Golf Mk4 GTI Radio - no AM reception - jonkers121

My radio has stopped delivering AM programmes.
The FM reception is perfect. When tuned to AM noisy interference swamps the just-audible signal.

Do I need to buy a new radio?

Any help would be appreeciated.

I would suggest you check you aerial first, a weak AM signal is much more susceptible to noise than an FM one. Possibly water has got into the base.
