Received this on 23rd May:

"Hiya Just a courtesy call as it were to let you know there will be no Honest on June 9, as it's our dedicated Festival of Speed issue. We will put in an apology for your absence and do an extra big one week after, so we'll roll June 9 column back."

Then, without further warning, they cut the column in half on 2nd June.

And, as promised, nothing at all on 9th June.

All I can say is "watch that space",

(NB: RT's post is the kind of thing that shuts down your fun completely. In the words of the great Ed Ney, "Nothing is for nothing." And in response to focussed, we'll take offers of £5 million plus, but not to close down what we do. That would require at least £10 million. Most of what I make goes to poorer people anyway.)

Almost wish for James May to come back - but his columns were getting tedious too, IMHO.

He used to be really good, then starting becoming really twee and tedious. Clarkson's Sumday Times column has become tedious too. I suspect they are spreading their talents too widely.
