Geneva Motor Show 2012: Tourneo previews new Ford Transit
Ford has premiered its new Tourneo Custom Concept at Geneva, and it offers a glimpse of what the next generation Transit will look like. It’s styled with the same ‘Kinetic Design’ language as seen on the Ford car range, so it looks a little less ‘van-like’ than its predecessor.
The new design isn’t restricted to the exterior – the eight-seat cabin features leather upholstery and a sculpted, driver oriented instrument panel a bit like that in the Focus.
ECOnetic fuel saving tech is implemented, and Ford is hoping for class leading economy and emissions figures. Other technologies featured include a voice activated entertainment and information system, a reversing camera and lane departure warning.
Another neat touch is the rear seats, which can be folded and moved into numerous configurations or removed entirely to increase load space.
