Paris Motor Show 2014: Skoda reveals prices for new Fabia

Skoda has revealed prices for its third-generation Fabia at the Paris Motor Show. The car, which goes on sale in January, starts at £10,600 on the road. The new-look small motor, that rivals models such as the Renault Clio and Vauxhall Corsa, also comes with a decent level of kit as standard.

Eighteen models are available within the range, with three trim levels: S, SE and Elegance. Entry-level S models get six airbags, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, start/stop and electric front windows as standard.

If you want air-con and alloy wheels, though, you’ll have to upgrade to the £12,760 SE, but you’ll also get a surround sound system plus a stereo system with USB and SD connections. The top-of-the-range Elegance model will set you back £13,610 but adds 16-inch alloys, climate control, cruise control and keyless entry system.

Inside, the Fabia’s is longer and larger than the outgoing model so passengers get more headroom, and elbow room. Plus, the boot is the largest in its class – 330 litres, which is 15 litres more than the model it replaces.
