Honda Zoomer Pit Bike Grows Up into 70mph Zoomer X 110
We wouldn't have known until we bought one. But the Honda Zoomer X 110 that caught my eye in Thailand back in June has only just been launched to other markets at the Tokyo Motor Show this November.
Characterised by fat balloon tyres and a chunky look, with a helmet sized compartment under the big, soft dual seat the Zoomer X 110 is a premium CVT automatic scooter that's comfortable, spectacularly easy to drive, can do 70mph and yet returns an excellent 150mpg in the standard tests.
It's based on the 49cc Zoomer that has now been around for more then 10 years, seeing service as the replacement for the Honda 'Monkey' bikes used as transport for F1 drivers around the pits in the 1960s.
