New MINI Seven celebrates original 1959 Austin Seven

MINI has launched a new variant called the Seven, in honour of the original Austin Seven launched in 1959. Priced from £18,545, the new version gets Seven badging and part-leather seats, plus it is available with a unique version of the popular Chili pack.

The standard colour, pictured, is Lapisluxury Blue, but buyers can also choose Pepper White, Midnight Black and British Racing Green. Bonnet stripes are available, while the MINI Seven Chili pack adds full leather upholstery in black, LED headlights, multifunction steering wheel controls and adaptive cruise control.

Standard equipment includes colour infotainment, Bluetooth, USB connectivity and dual zone climate control. Navigation is optional, along with extras including a heated windscreen. Buyers can choose between three- or five-door body styles, with power from Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S or Cooper SD engines.

Order books are open now, ahead of the MINI Seven’s public debut at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed on 23-26 June. The three-door is priced from £18,545, while the five-door costs from £19,145.
