Skoda reveals new Karoq Scout
Skoda has unveiled the Scout version of its Karoq. Going on sale in October and sitting at the top of the Karoq range, expect prices to start at around £27,500.
Like similar versions of the Kodiaq and Octavia, the Karoq Scout gets a more rugged look with plastic wheel arch covers, silver lower body protectors on the front and rear bumpers plus bigger wheels - 18-inch alloys in this case with 19-inch anthracite designs an optional extra.
Sitting at the top of the range, equipment levels are high with Scout models getting the Virtual Cockpit, which replaces the conventional dials with a high resolution configurable screen as well as an electric tailgate and LED ambient lighting.
The sole petrol available is the new 1.5 TSI with 150PS which comes with a seven-speed DSG as standard. There are two versions of the 2.0 TDI available - 150PS or 190PS - with the former the only one available as a six-speed manual. All models are all-wheel drive.
