New Ford Puma crossover priced from £20,845

Orders are now open for high-spec First Edition models of the new Ford Puma crossover with deliveries expected from January 2020.

Further trim levels will follow, with prices for the Fiesta-based crossover starting at £20,845 - making it a rival to the Nissan Juke, SEAT Arona and Honda HR-V.

Standard specification for the entry-level Puma Titanium will include massage seats for the driver and front passenger as well as wireless phone charging. The Ford Puma Titanium First Edition, which starts at £22,295, will include comfort and safety technology packs. These include adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera, heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

Puma First Editions are also available in ST-Line X trims, priced from £25,195. This adds sporty interior and exterior highlights as well as sports suspension, a fully digital instrument cluster and LED headlights. It also comes with an electric tailgate, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a 10-speaker B&O premium audio system.

The ST-Line X First Edition Plus starts at £27,345 and adds a panoramic sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The Puma will initially be offered with a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine featuring mild-hybrid technology.bIt comes with 125 or 155PS, each using an 11.5kW integrated starter/generator in place of a standard alternator. This allows energy usually lost during braking and coasting to be recovered, improving efficiency.

A diesel will follow later in 2020.
