Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Review 2026

The new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer will rival the Ford Focus Estate and be priced from £25,005 when it reaches showrooms in August 2022. Buyers can choose from a 1.2 petrol, 1.5 diesel or 1.6 plug-in hybrid, while transmissions will be split between a six-speed manual and an eight-speed torque converter auto.

Vauxhall says the new Astra estate will be more spacious than the car it replaces with up to 608 litres of storage space with the rear seats upright, and up to 1,634 litres when folded. The plug-in hybrid will offer less practicality, however, due to the battery pack under the car floor - at 548 litres and 1,574 litres, respectively.

All versions of the Astra Sports Tourer will be generously equipped as standard with touch screen navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity and LED headlights. Alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers and DAB audio are also included, along with a fully digital driver's instrument binnacle.
