Find out more about the Volkswagen ID.Buzz

The ID.Buzz could revolutionise the EV and van market when it arrives in late-2022. Not only will it travel over 300 miles on a single charge, but it also promises to set new benchmarks for quality and tech.

The ID.Buzz will be offered as MPV, van and camper van. Expect the MPV model to feature up to eight seats, while the California-style camper will provide sleeping space for four adults.

The exterior design is inspired by Volkswagen's classic camper van, with the short overhangs and boxy body giving a notable nod to the famous Type 2. The ID.Buzz will follow a similar rear-wheel drive set-up, too, but take its power from 111kWh lithium-ion battery pack located under the vehicle floor.

At launch, the ID.Buzz will be rear-wheel drive and powered by a single electric motor that will develop up to 200PS. A twin-motor 4Motion version of the ID.Buzz is also in development and Volkswagen will use its comprehensive van knowledge to provide a car-like driving experience - similar to the excellent Multivan

Expect the interior to feature the latest LED and touchscreen tech. Volkswagen is also promising to set new benchmarks for seat quality and refinement.

Volkswagen has high hopes for its reto-styled van-based MPV. Not only will it use next-gen EV tech and be capable of travelling huge distancs on a single charge, but
