I need a practical second-hand car - what do you suggest?

I am looking for a second-hand vehicle with plenty of space for gardening, surfboards, grandchildren etc. I have had several Volvo estates but my wife and I are now retired and need something a bit higher off the ground for getting in and out of! Your advice would be appreciated.

You won't go far wrong with a Peugeot 2008 1.2 Puretech 130 6-speed.
