Can find out if a car has been the subject of an insurance claim?

Is there any way I can find out if a car I have recently purchased has been the subject of an insurance claim please? I am insured with the NFU and their claims help line is automated with no heading for an enquiry of this kind.

No, other than having a good pair of eyes and inspecting the car. Did you have it inspected prior to purchasing? I am assuming there is a reason for the question. If it is on the basis the vehicle is faulty in some way, or not as described, reject it if is faulty.
