What hybrid car should I buy for a 40-mile commute?

I do a daily commute of approx 40 miles each way. I can charge a hybrid vehicle at work. What should I buy?

Both the Toyota Prius Plug-in and Hyundai Ioniq PHEV can theoretically cover 39 miles on an electric charge, meaning they ought to be ideal for your needs. Personally I prefer the Hyundai Ioniq as its styling is less divisive than the Toyota's and the infotainment's more intuitive, but both are good cars that should prove reliable. If you're looking for something more premium, take a look at the BMW 330e.
