Do I have to tax and insure a vehicle if it's parked on a private drive and not being driven?
I bought a car privately - my first car. It's currently parked on a private drive and was delivered by the former owner who is sending off the appropriate V5C paperwork. Do I need to pay road tax and insurance today if I'm not going to be driving it yet?

It needs either to be insured and taxed or put onto a SORN: www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax / or SORN: www.gov.uk/make-a-sorn
