Greyhound, or Lurcher?
I am trying to find your reply on the new Honda Jazz automatic gearbox and problems with the gear change, which I read in the Telegraph earlier this year. I would be very grateful if you repeat it to me as I have just bought one and I am experiencing terrible lurching especially in low gears on hills.

It's the way you are driving it. The electronics damp the throttle on upchanges from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd in order to limit torque reactions to the transmission. If you try to compensate by pressing the accelerator harder you will get a lurching effect. You need to be gentler on the accelerator.
