My son bought a 2005 Honda Civic Type R from a dealer three weeks ago. The nearside headlight unit held condensation and we asked an independent motor engineer friend to replace it. Whilst completing the work our friend noticed overspray around the old headlight unit and, on further examination of the car, found that a very
poor but, total respray had been carried out. In consequence I have obtained an HPI check of the car, which shows nothing untoward, and now intend to approach the dealer to see how he proposes to deal with my son’s (presumably) reasonable complaint. What should we expect to hear or receive from the dealer?
