Car park fine - do I need to pay?
Today I parked on an open air NCP town centre carpark in Bolton. The only ticket machine was proving difficult both for me and other customers. It would not register or return my cash. I wanted to park the whole day for £3.20 and in the end I struggled to purchase a £1 ticket and a £2.20 ticket consequtively numbered. In addition the machine 'took' a further £2 of my money. I displayed both tickets in my windscreen only to return to find a fine ticket for £100 on my car. Please could you advise how I should best respond?

Refuse to pay outright on the grounds you have described and demand that they take you to court for the money where you will make your case against them and demand compensation for your losses.
