Faulty battery on my used car
Is the battery covered by a used-car statutory 3 month warranty? It failed about 4 weeks after purchase and of course the garage says "no".

What used car statutory 3 month warranty? No such thing. But case law is on your side and assumes that any fault within 6 months of purchase was developing on the date of sale and is therefore the dealer's responsibility. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ But care is needed here. The dealer could accuse you of abusing the battery, and might get away with it.
