Will DAB radios be compulsory equipment for new cars from 2012?

Can you tell me if digital radios will be "compulsory" on new cars for 2012? I read somewhere that as part of the planned changeover to digital in 2015 that the government had mandated digital radios for 2012 model year?

I have heard that the changeover is now postponed to 2017 and may be delayed further in order for Britain to switch to DAB Plus, because the DAB system Britain was adopting does not work very well in a moving car.
