Winding down

I own a 6 year old Skoda Octavia 1.6FSI with 50,000 miles on the clock. Three evenings ago I locked the car, only to find later that the windows had all dropped open. I reclosed the windows and left the car for the night. Have you come across this fault before?

This is happening so frequently that I am now receiving a fresh email about it every couple of days. Might be joggling of the buttons of the remote in your pocket. But at this late stage, more likely to be because of moisture ingress to the locking and windows ECU that sits on top of the window motor inside the driver's door. This had been a weakness of the VAG locking system for at least 15 years.
