Advice on what are the desirable paint colours, and whether to pay purchae price of car to broker or the dealer.
We have ordered a VW Tiguan from a broker. We are undecided as to the choice of colour and have been given a couple of weeks in which to give the broker our decision. Have thought about Acapulco Blue or Silver Leaf but the colour samples in showrooms are of little help and cars on display tend to be in dark shades of silver or solid colours. Do not want a colour which is more likely to devalue the car.
The broker does not require a deposit but has said that the balance (taking account of the part exchange and discount) of £22,000 must by paid the day before delivery to either the broker or direct to the VW dealer. Can you please advise who we should pay and in what form? Many thanks for your help.

Silver is the sheep's choice, but probably better than blue because metallic blue has a habit of attracting chips on almost everything. Pay the dealer because that's who is supplying the car. Then if anything goes wrong you have a contract with the dealer. You don't have to go back through the broker. A good broker won't worry because he'll get his cut from the dealer.
