Going back on a deal?

I want to step back from a Vehicle Order and Agreement(Scotland), as after signing the form I have received a far better offer from the supplier of my old car for this deal. I paid a deposit which I wouldn't mind losing as the second deal still saves me £1000.

You have entered a contract and are welching on it. The other party could hold you liable for more than the deposit, or may simply let you off the hook for retention of the deposit. Up to him.
