Removing illegally parked cars from my small private car park - how do I do it?
I own a some self-catering holiday flats in the centre of Blackpool which has a small private car park, used by our guests coming on holiday, who reserve and pay for the car parking.
I understand that from the 1st October I can only put a Parking Ticket on any illegally and not have them clamped or towed away.
What rights do I have to have the illegally parked car towed off my private car park immediately, rather than have to wait all day for the owner to return, so the the guest arriving can use the parking space he has reserved and paid for?

To be able to clamp you have to put a gate or a barrier on the carpark. It does not have to be locked. It just has to be there. Otherwise you are virtually forced into employing a member of the BPA who could ruin your business by imposing Parking Charge Notices on your own guests.
