Should I buy a Peugeot 406 Coupe?

I am seriously thinking of buying a Peugeot 406 Coupe 3.0-litre V6, registered in March 2001 with 70,000 miles on the clock. It seems in good condition and will be used mainly on long journeys at weekends.

Is this a car to consider (priced at around £2200) or should I look at something different. Fuel consumption is not a big problem.
