Double de-clutching or not?
Friend who claims to be VERY engineering qualified claims that driving a modern manual car and double-de-cluching saves wear and tear of syncromesh and clutch plate. Seems to me by activating clutch pedal twice without need accelerates wear and it is 2013 not 1913!

I find I drive more smoothly by double declutching because it has become instinctive.
