How should I sell my rare 1995 Toyota Camry?
I have decided to sell my car, but do not know the best site to advertise it on or what a realistic asking price might be. The difficulty arises because it is quite rare and I have nothing to compare it with.
The car is a 1995 Toyota Camry V6, with a 3.0-litre engine and automatic gearbox. Also it is a seven seater estate, with only two owners and less than 30,000 miles on the clock. Friends have suggested eBay classified or AutoTrader as suitable advertising sites. Any suggestions?

I can't price it accurately. If I had to I'd probably give £700 in part exchange, then try to get £1695 for it, emphasising the seven seats in any advertising, but also very well aware that it will guzzle fuel and that is going to put buyers off. £1695 is, of course, a dealer 'retail' price, implying a dealer warranty and dealer liability if anything goes wrong. I would not expect more than £995 as a private sale price.
Toyota is currently looking for the oldest Toyota in the UK that was built at its Burnaston factory. This wasn't, but it might be worth contacting Toyota just in case the company has an interest in a good example of this rare car.
