Is my keyless Audi A8 particularly susceptible to theft and how can I prevent it?
I have a one-year old keyless Audi A8. I have read reports about the theft of such cars. My local Audi dealer says he is not concerned and has had no losses, but should I be worried and are there any safety measures I can take? I thought of having a Tracker fitted or perhaps having shatter-proof glass fitted to the side windows. The car is left on the street overnight. Your advice would be appreciated.

Do what I did yesterday to protect my new BMW 320d ED. I drove to a big branch of Halfords and spent £85 on a Disklok Silver. This is an armour-plated steel cover that locks into position completely enveloping the steering wheel. It is clunky, time-consuming and inconvenient, but extremely effective.
There can be no more stupid or pointless invention than the keyless push button starter that makes all cars fitted with them particularly vulnerable to the new car crime that EC legislators facilitated by Commission Regulation (EU) No 566/2011 of 8 June 2011. This compels manufacturers to allow the release of security codes to anyone who may work on their cars. Now anyone can buy a gizmo from China that downloads a car’s security information from its ECU then use it to start the car. The police warned the commissioners of the consequences, but were ignored.
