Changing wheels and tyres from low profile to 'proper' tyres

Where can I purchase different size wheels for a Peugeot 308 CC TVi Allure (Folding Open Top) and what size wheels and tyres should I then be chosing. I am considering replacing the alloy (low profile) tyres with 'proper' tyres that have some air in them and, one would hope, provide a more comfortable ride in the process. The present tyres are 225 / 40 / R18....

Go down to 16" wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres. www.tyremen.co.uk can fix you up with a set of four TUV approved Alutec 16" alloy wheels for £335 inc VAT, but plus the cost of the tyres.
