Insurance and pattern parts?
The time has come to renew my insurance with Direct Line and their policy wording now states that they may use parts not manufactured by the car maker. As my car is less than 1 year old and under warranty I am concerned that the use of non manufacturers parts will void the warranty.
Am I worrying unnecessarily? I could insure with Land Rover but would have to pay a premium. Other policies I have looked at seem to have similar wording.

It will void the warranty and devalue the car. So if you are worried about having a crash and having the car properly repaired, go for the Land Rover insurance. If you spent maybe £35,000 on the car, it does not make sense to save a few hundred a year on insurance when that could devalue the car by thousands from a poor quality crash repair.
