Need a car that can cope with farm roads and winter weather

I live in a rural area and need a new car that can cope with farm tracks and untreated minor roads in the winter. I don’t want a big 4x4, but do want something with front-wheel drive that's big enough to carry large items and two dogs. Any suggestions?

Either a Peugeot 2008 with Grip Control or a FIAT 500 Trekking with Traction Plus. They come equipped with Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Tyres which will get you out of snow but can be left on all year round and handle well in Summer.
