Can I export my Ford Mustang GT to Thailand?

I shall be emigrating to Thailand in the next two years and would like to export my 2005 Ford Mustang GT that I have owned since new. I have tried to research the legalities and tax implications but cannot find any useful definitive information. Is this simple or it is a case of don't bother, not worth the trouble?

There has recently been a purge on illegally imported luxury cars in Thailand. The purge involved about 380 very high-end cars of which it was found that 'luxury tax' of something like 300 per cent had been avoided on 330. The deputy prime minster's Rolls Royce Ghost was one of them. Who gets away with this depends on who he knows and who he pays off. So unless you know the right people (who might change after the next military coup) forget any idea of taking your Mustang to Thailand.
