Three month warranty limit of £250 - is this legal?

I have just purchased a 2005 Ford Galaxy and the dealer has given me a three-month warranty with a limit of £250, is this legal? (independent dealer). I am not sure if this is £250 per claim or in total, I will ask him after getting advise first.

It's legal. Doesn't stop the dealer being liable for any major fault that could have been present or developing on the date of sale for 6 months from the date of sale.
